Dear Christine2012,

I have two Cascade 1000's and never quite had this problem--they work well for me. But I did have trouble with the spray bar when first setting one up--I can't remember if it was a sound and too forceful spray bar or just the spray bar. At any rate I just used the other option and both Cascades have been fine. Try taking off the spray bar and see if the sound goes away.

Best wishes,
Chris

Thank you. I may or may not have identified the problem. The intake tube, you know how it slides in and out? I think there may be an accumulation of bubbles getting trapped between the two layers and being knocked loose. I will tear it down to see if thats it. I really hope so! Do you think that frequent air would be bad for the motor?

As it turns out, my intake hose was maybe just an inch too long. We cut it back and it hasn't made a peep! lol
