I have returned Interpet Air Volution3 (way to loud) to my LFS.

I'm convinced my wife can hear an ant fart at ten paces but she says she can hear the airpump when sleeping. I don't but I don't count right? :jump:

Can anyone recommend a pump and remember the ants! :foot:

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I've heard of people putting the air pump in the garage and running an airline tube through the wall to the tank. LOL

You might try getting a sponge and cutting an indetation for it. See if that cuts the noise some.

I have a Tetratec airpump and a Rena airpump. Of the two, the Rena is MUCH more quiet. Really, the Rena makes no noise at all.

It also helps to position your pump so any sound is muffled. If you have an enclosed aquarium stand, place the pump inside it and run tubing through the back and up to the tank....I do this and I can't hear a thing.

Cool

Running from their garage thats a bit much

I would sooner blow bubbles into my tank with a straw

Thanks peeps I will try the Rena.
