I have 2 canister filters and i was wondering if i can drill holes in my tank for the inlet and outlet instead of using the tubing that came with filters ill put new bulkheads and plumbing. That way i can attach 2 inlets on bottom of tank and to outlet on top. Will this put to much stress on filters?

I don't have experience with drilled tanks. It sounds like it could work though. As far as the filter pump goes I see no extra stress being added to it. It is exactly the same as if your uptake tube was at that level. I usually try to get my uptake tube close to the bottom.

If the tank is not tempered glass you could have it drilled. I have no idea how much it would cost or if they would stand for replacement if it breaks. :D
