Can I paint tank back with fish in it?

Pet store said no but I don't see why not if I'm using acrylic and not spray

If you can access the back of the tank when it is filled I don't see why not. Just cover all openings very well. As long as paint stays out of the tank you should be fine. You don't want to paint the inside of a filled tank though, I'm not sure if that's what you meant or not lol

I painted mine before i had fish in it, but i used plastidip (found at homedepot). I used it because if i ever want to remove it all i have to do is peel it off. You can get different colors of it if you order it online. It took me 1.5 cans for a 55gal.
