Can i turn my whisper 60 into a fuge?

Hi, i have seen this done with an aquaclear 300 filter and i was wondering if it would work for a whisper 60. Thanks, all input would be greatly appreciated.

Both are way to small to be effective on a 55 gal tank. By the most simpleist of definitions the spot behind the filter cartrage is a fuge to begin with.

hanging out on the forums here, my thoughts are that if your fuge isn't at least 10% of the capacity of the main tank, then it's not going to be enough of a benefit to make it worth your time and effort.
