Our power flickers off during storms (3 times yesterday) and it also sometimes goes off for several hours.

Which canister will start back up without any help?

My hobs do fine, so I'm reluctant to switch to canister because of the power issues. We are not home a lot so can't possibly help to get a canister working correctly again.

And yes, getting a battery backup would solve that issue, but I can't buy everything at once :)

The fluval 306 that I have on my 55 will start back up after the power goes out and most other canisters will as well. The fluval also has a little pump that you can push if it needs a little help starting.
