Canister cleaning and tank cycling

I am going to be doing maintenance on my magnum 350 canister and my tank is in its first cycle about three weeks. Do I change the carbon or half or all ?

Most people dont use carbon, but if you want to continue, change all of it.

What would I use in its place I don't have live coral
