I Have a 90 gal fresh water Chiclid tank that I have had for about a year now. I purchased 2 emperor 400 units to filter tank. I believe that I read that the 400 can handle 90 gal max and with 2 I thought I was going to be fine. So the 2 filters worked but tank got dirty within 10 days and I was only feeding once a day, and not over feeding. Around the year Mark after a tank cleaning one of the emperor 400 units stopped working and the other cant keep up now for sure. I don't want to invest more $$ into the emperor 400 when I don't think they are a good product and was thinking canister. My question is : I'm new to canister and what filter type or company would be good for $$ and quality?
Thank u for your help

×2 on the Marineland magnum 350 is a good filter. But if your looking for pure silence go for an eheim canister filter, 130$ on amazon.
