Canister Filter

Was wondering what option I should use for the exhaust assembly on my canister filter....the spray bar or the directional spout?

I use a spout. It gives a more powerful flow like power heads. I direct my spout against one of my PH to create some turbulence. The out flow from the spray is a bit low.
