canister filter

for a 110 saltwater tank with fish and live rock only what would be the best canister filter to use or other suggestions

IMO I would use LR and a skimmer. Canister is not needed IMO. LR and a skimmer is excellent biological filtration.

thats what I have now in a refuge but I dont like the skimmer.what is a good skimmer for that size tank.Is a hang on better than one that goes in the sump

Usually the sump skimmers are bigger and better but I`m not familar with the HOB`s except a skilter that I had and it was a piece of junk. I personally use the excalibur brand. Great skimmer IMO.
