Canister filter flow direction

Which way does the water flow in the Aqua One Nautilus 2700 canister filter?
I thought it was from bottom to top, but have since read it is from top to bottom, in which case I have mine setup back to front, can any one clarify this for me.

Thanks I have the manual, the flow direction is not in there☹️ I might have to send an email direct to Aqua one see what they say.
