Canister filter question

Looking at this Marineland C-160 for a 23G CAD ZEN tank

Will be a FW community tank, no CO2

Anyone like or dislike this filter?

I had a C series for about 8 months and it went bad. Evidently, there is a known issue with them. I replaced it with an Eheim. So far I'm very satisfied with the Eheim.

Well known quality canisters: Eheim, Fluval, Rena (now API)---In alphabetical order not my preference never used eheim but hear good things

I have the pro series, but a lot of people love that one ( the classic). I've never seen, heard, or read anything bad about it.

Spoke with a member on the SCAPE club site about the Marineland canister, he said he had a problem and that ML swapped the can for the "updated" version, ner a problem since... FWIW

I honestly would pass up the marineland. They are not nearly as popular as the other canisters mentioned for a reason.

Fluval 206 would be a nice option too. I run one on my 20g and am very satisfied.

+1 on the Fluval 06 canisters. I have two, the 106 and 306. Fantastic filters!
