Today I received the shipment of marineland amonia. Whats the best way to put this in my canister? Its a 5 stage. Bottom or top and do I just pour the product into the holding tray or do I put it in something first. Thanks

I just dose the tank, either way it will end up going through the filter

Moved to a more appropriate forum - canister filters aren't cichlids, even if they are on a cichlid tank.

I don't know how your filter flows from the top down or from the bottom up witch ever way it flows it should be in the last stages be for entering the tank. Because it is receiving the cleanest water possible that's what you want. And as far as to put it in a filter bag the answer is yes. All chemical media should be layered this way. Mechanical first Bio second chemical LAST. Put a polishing pad befor you put the chemical media in it will help stop any small debri from entering the impella. Good luck Bobby
