What type of lube on orings petro jelly,silicone grease, spit lol. A little help please

Vaseline works fine for me.

I actually use the same silicone I use in my dive gear if Its safe for me to breath at depth then its gotta b safe for fish.

I use this on my 0-rings Original Petroleum Jelly | From the Vaseline® Brand found everywhere, pharmacy, grocery store.

Petroleum products tend to not play well with rubber swelling it over time so I was wondering if anyone used a silicone product like dielectric grease used in eletronics or similar

I used canola oil, excellent lubricant and harmless
