ive had this unit for over 8 months now, i was told when i got it used to not lose the water and such... i know thats to maintain the cycle and not lose any good bacteria... im just wondering the best way to clean these units without losing anything beneficial...
i havent cleaned it thus far but my stats are where they need to be. i just know when i open that filter from time to time that its disgusting...
anyone with first hand knowledge and step by step directions on how to successfully clean these units without losing key ingredients?
