That's a shame though. What did you end up going with?
I went with 3 Reef Breeder 96 watt Bridgelux LED Value Fixtures and I love them so far.

Can anyone suggest a cheap LED alternative for a 90 gallon reef with SPS / LPS?

I currently have an 8 X 54 nova extreme pro T5 fixture.

I heard to solve it, disconnect the current fans and replace them with computer fans. Only a $14 fix

Has anyone tried this and can confirm that it works? I'ld hate to spend the money and end up with some loud lights.

New to all of this. But I've read the whole thread up to this point. Going to set up a 75 gal cichlid tank. Not sure if I'm going to go planted or not. Would 3 10w that put out 6500k-7000k be enough. And if I don't go planted, suggestions?
