I'm trying to decide which filter to use in a 5g that is home to some Endlers females and fry. Both are currently running in other tanks so it's just a matter of making the switch. Is there a benefit of one over the other?

First option is a standard sponge filter, the other is this little corner box. Any thoughts?

And if anyone can recommend a truly quiet, small air pump I would very much appreciate it!

they will both do the same thing, but the corner filter you can add some carbon. The sponge filters are better for very small fry and are easier to clean. On my 20 gallon fry tank I have 1 of each

So I assume the sponge would be a better option for a tank with shrimp fry?

And thanks!
