I'm converting a Saltwater tank for Freshwater use. The tank has been setting empty for some time. Anything special I need to do in cleaning the actual tank. Should I simply use water and some musle or is there something else I need to use? There are a few places on the tank where there appears to be some old salt deposits that won't come off by just using water. Any thoughts?

Vinegar will bring a lot of that off. Razor blades can be helpful. On tough spots, laying a paper towel dampened with vinegar for a few hours usually does the trick.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that it's an acrylic tank.
