Cleaning an empty used tank

How do u clean a used empty tank? 90g that looks filmy?

If its hard water scale build up. Put some vinegar in a spray bottle, and spray it down really heavy, let it set a bit. Clean what will come off then repeat. If any of it is water etched(like glass lids get) that won't clean up. Rinse well when cleaned, and you should be good to go.

+1 distilled white vinegar, a razor blade, and a whole lotta elbow grease should do the trick!

First thing to do is fill with water, add a generous portion of bleach (enough to make the water feel slippery), and then let it sit (overnight even). This will soften and burn up the dried on bio film. A plastic pot scrubbie works well to clean everything off. If there are any areas that have mineral deposits, straight vinegar will dissolve them or soften them for easier removal. It will also neutralize any residual bleach. Once cleaned, rinse well and you are ready to go.
