Cleaning my tank

Is it okay to clean the outside of my tank with glass cleaner? If not, suggestion on cleaning it?

What I do is go into a room wayyyyyyyyyy far away from the tank, squirt some glass cleaner onto a paper towel and then wipe down the glass with it. This prevents any chemicals from actually getting into the tank. Hope this helped.

I have a stack of rags just for fish tanks.

Get one wet with water and keep one dry.

Wipe the tank with the wet rag and then dry it off. Gives me a crystal clear glass tank with absolutely 0 chance of loss with the fish.

Microfiber rags. Usually wipes off my kids grimey fingerprints without any need for glass cleaner or water
