How the heck do I clean this thing? I tried forcing water through with no luck. The water flow isn't enough to even lift the gunk a little. :(

Where is it clogged?

Are you sure the valve is open?

I have no idea.

Have you had it apart at all. There might be a checkvalve in there that is in backwards

I haven't been able to take it apart at all. The only thing i can do is take the hose off

aqueon syphon problem

The devise that attaches to the water supply has a somewhat delicate internal design. the needle-like part that creates the suction can get plugged and stop functioning. I had that happen and had to do some take apart and clean it. worked good after that but I'm more careful with sand bottom now.
