Co2 Regulator question

Hello All,
My question is, can I use a Co2 tank from a paintball gun and just screw that in to the regulator or should I get a tank that has a valve on the top of it?

There is a special regulator for the paint ball gun CO2 but there is a mod you can do so you can use a regular regulator on it.

in the long run it costs more to run a paintball system then a real co2 system. like joy said you need a special regulator for it.
