compact flourescent bulbs

I have seen people mention compact flourescent bulbs on this site. I have seen them on ebay and it looks like they fit into an incadescent hood. I have an aquatek v. It is one of those all in one 5 [acronym:c15071bdde="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:c15071bdde] acrylic tanks. Would putting one of those bulbs in make too much light. I just never really liked incadescent light. If anyone can give me some advice I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Jim

[acronym:93a31d54d5="In my opinion"]IMO[/acronym:93a31d54d5], one of the 6500k [acronym:93a31d54d5="Compact Flourescent"]CF[/acronym:93a31d54d5] bulbs would be great on a 5g tank. Much better than incandescent.

It has a 25 watt incadescent in there now.

It would, but you can buy these same lights at Home Depot. They are marketed under the brand "Commercial Electric" and are called "Daylight bulbs". I forget how much they are...around $7.00 I think...I use them in the porch lights here at the house.
