IF you get it figured ut post some pics. Coralife also makes a hanging kit for this fixture. That may be an option.

You are absoultely right in your last description. Installing them that way makes the legs arch in instead of out, but the feet will be facing the correct direction so that the fixture sits on the tank correctly.

I'll post some pics tomorrow of the fixture along with my tank.

I had waaay to much to drink last night while I was setting up my tank, that was waaay to obvious.

Haha, sorry, i will try and take some pics tonight. I think once you have the legs and fixture in front of you it becomes a little easier to visualize.
