Coralife Mini Compact 50/50 Lamp 20 W

http://www.bigalsonline.com/catalog/...d1=1843;pcid2=

Anyone use these? I've got a 10 gal that has my recently removed Condy in it with a mantis and 2 crabs. Right now they are under 2x25W 6700k standard incandescent bulbs. I was thinking about trying these. 4 WPG isn't too bad for that tank. I have to replace my 4x65W bulbs in my main tank, so I was ordering anyway.

I have never used that particular one, but I did pick up this bulb the other day for use on my refugium. I actually got this idea off another forum. This light puts out a nice bright crisp white light. Plenty powerful for a 10 gallon as well. You can get it from HD for ~$10.

I've got a grow light for my future refugium, this is actually turning into a 10 gallon display tank of the unwanted. I ordered them, I'll update.

I have heard of people using them in nanos with good results. I think Steve-s has used them too. I considered for my 10 gal nano but ended up doing a 2x32 set up.

You can get a 6500k PC bulb at HD that is similar to the coralife bulb. The 50/50 would be better though. I have the 19 watt HD bulb on a 5 gal and it looks nice but I have not got any corraline growth yet The anthelia and xenia like it though.
