Cracked tank

Last night my 75 gallon now front that I bought drilled cracked all the way down the back.

I love running a sump but if I can do it without drilling the tank I'd love ideas

I think you can get a fitting or something but have never done it. Pretty sure it is possible though.

Buy a predrilled tank. The tank cracking after the fact was a fluke. They generally don't do this. I have drilled many tanks and none of them had issues.

Another option is to buy overflow box kit. Costs more and potentially less reliable then drilled. Thats the route I'm taking however with my 125gallon, drilling makes me feel uneasy for some reason (and it is most probably tempered anyways)

Drilled tanks are 100% reliable (providing they don't crack, which usually happens during drilling, and not afterwards), Siphon overflows are not 100% reliable. Very few tanks have tempered viewing panes. Most are tempered on the bottoms only.

I understand that, but I know about it. That's why I'm chiming in. There are literally thousands and thousands of drilled tanks all over the world right now holding water just fine.
I would never have a tank that wasn't drilled, by the factory, or myself.
