Agreed I'm just picky because of the possibility of other contaminates causing skewed readings, after all we use our labs refractometer to help determine the ratio of certain solutes in solution It does measure very accurately but its not direct enough for my tastes but like I said I'm picky. I like to throw it out there to aquarists alot because of the dominance in the use of the refractometer. I actually use both.
