Last week I tried to take out purigen from my canister filter to see the effect. The result : my tank water became brownish in two days after pwc, due to 3 big driftwoods in my tank. Then I can reassure that purigen has benefit to my tank.
Yesterday, I try to make a DIY purigen with the following equipments:
1. powerhead
2. max mix co2 reactor
3. filter floss
The result quite amazing, the purigen start becoming brown in 1 day.
Let see if it can make my water more clear compared when I put it in canister.
