Few weeks in to my first SW tank 36gal bow front! My question is this, should I invest in a ro di system? Part of me thinks that for a 36 gal setup it just isn't needed at this point, I don't mind running to the LFS at this point either. Opinions please!

I vote yes, my sw tank is only 29 gallon with a 10 gallon DIY refugium and use one.

What size is your ro system?

I have the Coralife 4 stage ro/di system, it does 50 gallons per day. I use a 32 gallon brute trash can (new of coarse), for my salt mix, and 20 gallon brute for my plain or/di water for top offs.

The bulkreefsupply rodi units are great! You'll want a Tds meter with it as well

I agree, I have the dual tds meter, one probe before the di resin, and one after.
