I have one male betta and three catfish in a 10 gallon tank with a marina s10 filter. My question is do i need a air pump to maintain a proper oxygen level. Thanks

All of your fish come to the surface to breath so you don't need it unless you want the additional water movement. I would take it out.

It's a good idea to not have an air stone in a Betta tank. They prefer the waters surface to be still. A filter usually provides enough surface agitation to promote oxygen exchange without the extra airstone.

Why not a plant like hornwort, it should provide oxygen and it only needs some amount of light to live.
