do think this skimmer is any good

hi everyone. i see a skimmer on ebay do anyone know if thay are any good High Quality Protein Skimmer 550G/H Output with Pump on eBay, also Filtration Heating, Fish, Pet Supplies, Home Garden (end time 23-Feb-08 00:59:56 GMT)

Looks like a piece of crap to me. A Chinese knock-off of the Coralife SuperSkimmer. Also, who knows what kind of pump it includes, but the pump runs on 220v, not regular house current 120v.

$$$ is a good indication of quality when it comes to your skimmer. If you can get it for $14 then chances are it is not a good skimmer. Do some research on the web about skimmers and compare them yourself. You will see a few brands consistantly on top of the list. Look into one of those. A skimmer is not a place to cut corners when setting up your tank.

Totally agree.

anything over $200.00 from what I found I considerably better.
