I'd look at a power filter like an Aquaclear 200 for your tank . As for UGF brands , they're all pretty much the same .

I have one tank with a UGF, and one tank with an Aquaclear 200. Would definitely recommend the aquaclear. You get the choice of filter media, and it can store a lot of media compared to other filters (apparently)...

24g Community: Dwarf Gourami's, Neons, Platties, Clown Loach and a Chinese Algae Eater.
29G Nature Aquarium: Got first 6 serpae tetra, will be adding more soon.
65G Nature Aquarium: Cycling.
