Doing a reef tank setup need advice...

I am starting back up my hobby and I have been out for about 5 years. I plan to do a small reef tank (30 gallons). I was looking to use a aqueon 55/75 for my filter and a hang on skimmer. Is there anything else I'll need other than some power heads and lights?

Most important is live rock, powerheads, lights and then frequent water changes. Take it very slow and have lots of fun. I would probably leave the HOB filter off and just put a surface skimmer attachment onto the HOB skimmer.
