someone told me that a single ended MH will give the corals better color but a double ended bulb will grow them faster, has anyone heard this before? i have a 2 foot by 2 foot frag tank i am getting lighting for. also does anyone know where i can get a large MH reflector, i have seen them before at frag swaps but i can not find tham.

I don't think that's true. I did a lot of research on SE vs. DE before I got my lighting and honestly never really found there to be any difference from a benefits point of view to the tank.

Check out hellolights.com if you're looking for the regular spider reflectors, that's where I got mine.

Neilanh is correct. The only real difference between SE and DE is SE bulbs they are already encased in a UV shield and with DE bulbs, you must use a reflector with a UV shield.
