Hi all,
Does anyone know if a Aqueon 40 gal. breeder aquarium can be drilled? I looked on Aquenon's website and it said "larger tanks are tempered." so what is large?
Thanks,
Mike

Most tempered tanks say on the tank "do not drill tempered" so it shouldn't. 40 breeders are usually not tempered. Most common tempered sizes are 10 gallon and 55 gallon. So you shouldn't have any problems!

Even then a lot of the "tempered" tanks are only tempered on the bottom pane. There are ways to check glass though to see if its tempered or not.

You can use a LCD screen and a polarized filter to tell if it is tempered. You can also use a pair of movie 3D glasses. There is a video on YouTube titled "How to tell if glass is tempered"
