Hi, I brought a brand new Eheim 2217 because of all the raves about it being a really good filter and being super quiet. straight away its been making this really annoying fairly loud buzzing/vibrating noise.. What can I do to make this stop ASAP.

Is properly prim? Try turning it to a 45 degree angle for a few seconds, then back to neutral, and repeat as necessary.

adding to the above post, some eheim filters have been shipping with unbalanced rotors that caused the filters to vibrate alot, i am not sure what filters are affected. but i know from my 2426 that small vibrations is normal, i put a towel under mine to reduce it, you can also check that it isn't touching the sides of the aquarium stand.
