Eheim Canister Fix

I received a Classic 350/2217 from Amazon and have discovered a tiny part that is missing. (see attachment) I really don't want to have to pack this all up and send it back. Nor do I particularly want to buy this part if there is a possibility of a "fix" to put it together. I was hoping I could use tubing and clamps or something...

Any ideas?

I understand you want to fix it DIY style. I had an issue with a canister i bought off Amazon. I emailed the company directly(Tetra) and they fast shipped the part for free. Personally i would try this first....
