If you need more flow and not the filtration, get the sun sun and a cheap WaveMaker. I have two cheap sunsun WaveMakers and don't seem to have any issues.

I just bought an API XP-L for my 55 African cichlids tank. The flow is amazing and with the L & XL models you get 3 media trays that are very simple to maintain. I always believe in over filtration that's why I went with the XL. I purchased from Dr. Foster & Smith with a coupon code for 135.00 including free shipping my LFS wants 184.00. As for the spray bar since the are now sold as Filstar XP's and not Rena they no longer come with the spray bar. For me it was a no brainier API no question.
