I'm currently researching for a 120 gal. well planted tank. Im leaning heavily towards eheim for my choice of primary filtration. My question is: Is the 2028 pro 2 worth 100 more than the 2217 classic.

The 2028 has shut off calves, self-priming, flow control, and a viewer.2028 has 1.3 litres more canister volume and 3 baskets instead of 1 big area.

Any thoughts? I'm willing to spend the extra money if it is value added.

Also, FYI. I'm thinking about using about 440 watts of light minimum via 2 jbj power compacts and also CO2

The selfpriming makes it almost worth it alone but when it comes to maintance you will be happy you got one with that and the quick release tubes
