eshopps skimmer

hello i just got my eshopps 75g skimmer back it was sent in for not working, and my question is, should the water get sucked in near the top of the tank? its working but the suction is the neck 6 inches into the tank and the output is on top with the sponge? is it running backwards? thanks- scott

It's running fine., the intake is about 6 inches into the tank and the actual output is thru the sponge near the top of the tank...ive had mine up and working for a couple of months now and it always amazes me just how much crap it pulls out of water
