I've a couple of small nano tanks with flat lids. The water collects on them but doesn't run off as effectively as a corrugated style tray it does when you open the lid and close it on them. You won't stop evaporation completely just slow it up some so you can enjoy your fishy friends more and fret less

Wow look at the amount of condensation on the trays in the photo. I ordered a tray last night so hopefully it will get here in the next couple weeks.

@Tim, I get what you mean now. Don't have to get rid of the current lid at all.
