Looks good. It looks like you are going to need to keep an eye on that return area. Will you be using an auto top off?

The refugium - 2nd chamber is about 18" x 17.5". It can be smaller if I need to make the 3rd chamber larger.

On the bubble trap, how much space should be between the dividers?

The bubble traps look good The return needs to 2x as large as it it now IMO.

The return can be as small as you have it, but all evaporation will show there, so that section is going to empty pretty quick. I would invest in an auto top off and leave it right where it is. More refugium space is never a bad thing.
