I have a Rena Filstar XP3 canister filter. It WON'T stop blowing micro bubbles! Anybody know why?

Make shore that the canister is full and the lines are tight. I have had both those problems in the past that have caused that to happen to me.

You gotta make sure you get the intake line completely full. That's one thing I do not like about the XP series is that priming thing they put on top of the intake. You have to close the valve on the bottom, unscrew the lid, and pour water until it is at the very top, then put the lid back on, open the valve, let it fill the canister, then do it again... otherwise it'll have air in the line and keep doing that.

+1 with the rookie. Also, sometimes there will be an air bubble right under the motor. While it is running, just tip it to one side then the other. Hopefully, you will get one big stream of bubbles then it will stop. Good luck!
