Filter extension tube, where can i get one?

Hi,

I have a Tetra Whisper Power Filter for 5 - 10 gallon aquarium
Model 10 #25771.

In the manual it says:

"add or remove extension tubes to position the strainer at least one inch above gravel."

I need a extension tube so the strainer (where the water gets sucked in and goes up to the filter) is closer to the ground.

where can I find one.
I need like a 1" - 2" extender.

Help

Thanks

Most lfs have a "Parts" section where you can buy spare pieces. Normally the big chains don't (from what I've seen), but the smaller stores do.

I think he means you should take the tube with you to a hardware store and find something with a matching outside dimension and just buy a longer replacement made of PVC or something. If it works you'll have your replacement for like 40 cents.

whisper intake tubes have intake tubes that are tabed in such a way that PVC is not a very good option.. the actuall part is only about $1 more then the PVC anyway.. and would look alot better.. 8)
