Filter for QT

I am setting up a 29gal QT. I am torn between getting an Emperor 400 Bio-wheel or a Whisper 30 filter. I have heard good things about the Bio-wheel but I have used a smaller Whisper in the past and it worked well.

Does anyone have any suggestions which might sway me either way?

I assume the wheels on the Emperor can be removed and placed in my main's bioballs for bacteria seeding. I did this successfully with the foam in the Whisper. If I can't then my answer is I want the Whisper.

Either one will be fine for a QT. I am a fan of the emperor.

I would go with the emperor. I had a whisper before, but it broke down within 3 months after getting it.

Does the Emperor require a separate PH to run?
