Lightbulb Filter intake and otput

I have two Fluval 305 canister filters for my Perfecto freshwater 120 gallon high (60x18x26). I am not sure if I have the filter's intake and output in the ideal positions. Please see diagram attached.

Your flow is fine, you can't really go wrong (just better). The idea is to get the wter circulating so any suspended things in the water make it back near the intake. If it was SW then you'd want to take more care.

THat flow looks great, I like it, I bet it makes a sort of figure eight/hourglass type flow. How do your fish seem to like it?

Thanks for the feedback! Flow seems okay and the fish seem to like it. I think I might have to move some decorations around in the tank to increase circulations. This is a freshwater tank btw.

I think it looks good too. The two intakes are at opposite ends of the tank, so they are drawing in "dirty" water from different places. The outflows are pointed away from each other so they don't simply create an area of turbulence. Also, the intake of one filter is not pulling the clean water from the other filter right back in. It looks like you thought it out well! You may need to move some decorations as you said, but the placement of the intakes and outflows look good.
