Filter sock

How important are filter socks? My sump came with bulkheads, but no where to hang a sock or two. If I need them is there a company that makes a holder with suction cups? I see that as my only option to hang them, nothing else will fit over the lip where the bulkheads are.

I wish I could use one of my worn out Nike socks but alas, they clog within minutes.

I simply tie mine up to anything above sock location using twine.
