I Currently have a 55g with two penguin 200 HOB's. There is an Oscar in there right now. I also have a 10 gallon tank medium planted with 6 neon tetras, 1 leopard danio, 1 GBR and a dwarf otocinclus. The filter on that tank is the lame standard kit HOB probably only rated for 10 gallons.
So the question is...
I was considering upgrading and putting a canister filter on the 55. Would it be safe for the fish to then replace the 10 gallon filter with one of the Penguin 200's? Will it be to powerful that small of a tank and those size fish? Or would this be an advisable move due to my tank being near the top of recommend stocking? Thanks for the help and advice!
