Haven't used it, but I'd highly recommend you check out the Aqua Clear 50 or 70 HOB filters. My AC50 works great and I can customize the media to my liking with ease.

I use aquaclears, have for over 10 years and never once had an issue. The media basket is so much better than the whisper in my opinion. i would recomedn the 70 if you can swing it but the 50 will do fine too.
