Flow Accelerator - Aquarium Advice

Pacific Coast Flow Accelerator FA-400? Has anyone used this? It looks like it would work.

It will work, but the description is a little misleading. It won't increase flow, it will increase flow velocity and at the same time probably decrease flow a little since it adds additional back pressure to the pump. Same principle as putting your thumb over the end of a hose. You restrict the outlet and it forces the water out faster, but it doesn't increase the amount of flow.
